The Our lady of Lindogon or most commonly know as the Birhen sa Simala will visit Negros island this October 23- 27 2017. It will arrive on Talisay City @ 3 PM and will be transported back to Cebu on October 27, 2017.
From news articles online, Monsignor Victorino Rivas, parish priest of San Antonio Abad Parish Church said that a box would be made available on all sites that the image will visit so that public can send their petition to the image.
The Our Lady of Lindogon was said to be miraculous after an eyewitness account that the image shed tears after residents on the town of Sibonga in Cebu were struck by Dengue fever on 1998.
One of the monks in Simala then asked local parish priest to have a nine-day rosary prayer to ask the Virgin’s intercession. On September 8, 1998, which is considered by Catholics as the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the image started to shed tears again and after that residents who were affected by the Dengue fever were healed.
Today Simala Town where the image of the Blessed Virgin is kept, is flock by Catholic pilgrims that are suffering from diseases or those who needing guidance for their exams and other needs. Some reportedly said that the Blessed Virgin helps them after doing the pilgrimage.
